Electronic Discovery
Pavan has been working on legal issues pertaining to electronic discovery. He has been advocating the need for having distinct legal provisions pertaining to electronic discovery in India.
As a counsel, he has been effectively utilizing the provisions of the Information Technology Act 2000 to further propagate and advocate the cause of electronic discovery in India. He has, in various litigations at different courts, been successful in getting various orders concerning the protection and preservation of concerned electronic information and production of the same in the relevant judicial forums. He has been also the counsel for the plaintiff in India’s first John Doe case in information technology sector. He has filed various cases in which network service providers have been directed to give identity of offenders of Information Technology Act.
He has also been advocating the need for having distinct provisions pertaining to electronic discovery under the Information Technology Act 2000.
