WEBINAR ON “THREATS AND PROTECTION FROM CYBERCRIME: IN PERSPECTIVE OF GROWING TREND OF SOCIAL MEDIA”

Dr. Pavan Duggal addressed the Webinar on “Threats And Protection From Cybercrime: In Perspective of Growing Trend of Social Media” organized by Cyberlaw University alongwith East District Legal Services Authority and Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi on 23rd May, 2020 at 12 pm.

During the said Webinar, he highlighted specifically on how #Covid-19 has been a game changer in terms of increasing cybercrimes on social media. He also highlighted as to what strategies do children and other stakeholders need to adopt in order to prevent becoming victims of cybercrimes.

 

WEB MEETING ON “CYBER ETHICAL LEARNINGS FROM THE PANDEMIC”

Based on the massive success of the previously held Web Meeting entitled “Cyber Ethical Challenges of COVID-19”, a new Web Meeting on “Cyber Ethical Learnings From The Pandemic” is being organized by Cyberlaw University alongwith Globethics.Net on 19th May, 2020 from 2 pm to 3.30 pm CET (5.30 pm to 7 pm IST).

#coronavirus has brought forward very significant #cyber #ethical dilemmas which were sought to be covered in the Web Meeting entitled “Cyber Ethical Challenges of COVID-19” held on 12th May, 2020 from 2 pm to 3 pm CET, organized by Cyberlaw University alongwith Globethics.Net.
 
The Web Meeting had three distinguished international speakers. WEB MEETING ON NEW CYBER WORLD ORDER & LEGAL APPROACHES

 
 
With more than a billion people having been forced to be in homes during National Lockdowns, Coronavirus age has got diverse responses from different governments across the world.
 
Different legal provisions have been made in different parts of the world. These increasing new developments in Coronavirus age indicates that the New Cyber World Order is around the corner.
 
With the coming of humanity out from COVID-19 times, cyberspace, in which we are living, will be a different ground reality.
 
Dr. Pavan Duggal, international renowned expert and authority on Cyberlaw and Chairman, International Commission on Cyber Security Law has authored a book “New Cyber World Order Post COVID-19”. This book seeks to demystify some of the parameters that New cyber World Order is likely to take, once Coronavirus age comes to an end. He has also discussed other areas and ramifications with regard to New Cyber World Order in his book.
 
To discuss about the irreversible changes that are happening in the COVID-19 times and their potential impact and the forthcoming evolution of the New Cyber World Order, a Zoom meeting was organized on 23rd April, 2020 at 1000 hrs IST (GMT+530).

WEB MEETING ENTITLED “INDIAN COMPANIES & CYBER LEGAL STRATEGIES IN COVID-19 TIMES”

Indian companies are facing massive challenges during National Lockdown. While Indian companies are increasingly adopting Work From Home, there are distinctive cyberspace challenges that Indian companies are facing.  Companies are being attacked by way of ransomware and other phishing attacks.  Further, employees working from home are being targeted. Companies’ contractual obligations are not getting completed because of National Lockdown.  These scenarios are constantly presenting the picture of emerging cyber risks and legal liabilities that companies are increasingly facing.

Cyberlaw University alongwith Pavan Duggal Associates, Advocates had organized a Web Meeting on “Telemedicine Legalized for Practising Doctors and Implications for Medical Practice in India” on 16th April, 2020 at 1100 hours IST (GMT+530).
 
There were numerous questions raised in the said Web Meeting. However, due to paucity of time and due to various questions being asked and clarifications being sought, a follow up interactive session on Telemedicine Legalization in India is being organized on 20th April, 2020 at 1600 hours IST (GMT+530).

The said Web Meeting was attended by more than 80 top Doctors and medical practitioners of the country. In the said Web Meeting, Pavan elaborated on the main crux and salient features of the Telemedicine legalization process in India. He highlighted the various step-by-step methodologies that must be keep in mind by Doctors, while engaging in Telemedicine in India. He also highlighted the list of practical steps and strategies for medical practitioners in India to follow, while doing Telemedicine consultations in India. He also gave practical working tips to what to avoid while engaging in Telemedicine consultation by Doctors. There were numerous questions on the nuances of Telemedicine guidelines and its impact upon medical practice in India.
